EASY TO USE - JUST CLICK INTO YOUR YEAR AND MODEL!! UPCOMING EVENTS - Now that our building is completed, we are in the process of setting up 11 more public access computer stations in the lower level. Currently we have 12 public stations on the upper level of the library. Five of the new lower level computers will be for adult patrons and the other six will be dedicated for use by children under 18. Before these stations will be available for use, we will be installing time management software to better facilitate fair usage, time, and printing capabilities of these computers. When we make this move, having your library card will be vital in the sign-up process. For now, we will keep doing sign-up at the main circulation desk on the upper level for adults and the children's area computers will be available for sign-up use from 3:30 to 5:00 weekdays when supervision is available for the after-school-crowd. Sign-up procedures are the same - Make sure you bring your card and have the paperwork if you are under 18!! Children's Area - The newly renovated and spacious Children's area of the public library is now open. We have recently received our computer stools for the computer table in the Children's area. The computers will not be available for public use for a couple of months yet. The sign-in process will continue as is for now, requiring a parent sign-off for children under 18 and presentation of your library card at sign-in time. We have also set aside a special section in the Children's area for our new items as they come in - both easy readers and juvenile books. Check it out!! LIBRARIANS PICKS - Patrons have been requesting some sort of recommended reading list. This list will be a compilation of Fiction and Non-Fiction works suggested by the librarians here at the library. Some you may like, some not. Remember, these are only suggestions. May-June 2008: "The Appeal" by John Grisham - "7th Heaven" by James Patterson - "Sizzle and Burn" by Jayne Ann Krentz - "Strangers in Death" by J. D. Robb - "Lady Killer" by Lisa Scottoline - "The First Patient" by Michael Palmer - "Firefly Lane" by Kristin Hannah - "The Whole Truth" by David Baldacci - "Where are you Now?" by Mary Higgins Clark - "Quicksand" by Iris Johansen - "Honor Thyself" by Danielle Steel - "Blue-Eyed Devil" by Lisa Kleypas - "Tweak" by Nic Sheff - "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop - "Beautiful Boy" by David Sheff - "Mistaken Identity" by Don and Susie Van Ryn Points of Interest: We have a nice selection of magazines and newspapers to browse and any back issues to check out for one week.
